BCWLinux Setup

Downloading

Networking hardware should be autodetected. You will be prompted to assign roles to the interfaces that have been detected. These roles are:

Floppy setup

If you are using a hard disk install or do not want to save your settings, you do not need to do this. A Windows formatted floppy should be placed inside the floppy drive. This will be used no matter what mode you use to run BCWLinux (if the floppy was inserted before boot). If you run from a CD and do not insert a floppy, all setting will be lost when you reboot.

Initial Configuration

All the basic settings for a hotspot will be in place automatically. Further settings can be done via the web interface. The command line can be used to configure an interface manually in case the web interface is not accessible.
