Likewise, clicking on a certain point to see which frequency is most used in the surrounding area or perhaps a wifi heat map for various things (i.e band, manufacturer, IBSS vs BSS).
Vancouver is getting pretty densely…[Read more]

Working on the gallery next… got a fairly established base review of Nanaimo, I got a bit of Parksville, and some of Comox, Courtenay, and Cumberland, drove up the old Island Highway along the coast, and came back down along the new Inner Corridor Bypass. Had a bit of Lantzville and a drive early on with Cassidy and the Airport. Next getting…[Read more]

General Wireless 2 months agoWho’s interested in Mesh? I’m thinking about deploying a few ROBIN nodes – but to do so means coming up with a Dashboard to manage them. There are some third party Dashboard providers around like open-mesh/cloudtrax. Wondering if BCWNS would accept using a third party management app or if it would want to run it’s own. To me it doesn’t…[Read more]

agreed, I could see it as compared to an alternative way to visualize the data so as to lessen the load on the browser, colour map per frequency would be cool, kind of like how you have a colour disc on each of the larger numbers indicating density, and indicating green open vs orange wep etc. also when you click on a point it can show it’s…[Read more]
Hi Ivan. Great ideas, I’ll see what I can do about them. I was experimenting with some heatmap code but found the image generation was overly expensive CPU wise. There are other layers being added to the map as well including link tests and images from the gallery. I need to refactor the mapping code to better work in the layered concept,…[Read more]
